The Client Account Manager/Bookkeeper will join the lettings team to provide client account support and run the bookkeeping and account management for the business.
Main Responsibilities
Business account management
- Manage and reconcile the company's Xero account
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Assist company Directors with monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Record and prepare business invoices for payment and process payment
- Monitoring financial transactions and cash flow
- Communicate with the HM Revenue & Customs when needed
- Credit control to include chasing of overdue payments
- Carrying out general administration and back-office duties
- Supporting with additional tasks as and when required
Client accounts
- Reconcile Client Accounts on a daily basis
- Prepare monthly client account reconciliation report for the Letting’s Director to approve
- Prepare landlord statements/payment runs
- Manage the holding deposit and move-in funds statements
- Record and prepare invoices for payments
- Manage deposit registration and de-registering
- Liaise with landlords, tenants and other 3rd parties
- Prepare quarterly and annually NRL tax reports
- Assist overseas landlord with NRL1 applications
- Manage rent arrears
Skills required
- Experience in bookkeeping and accounting; ideally part qualified
- Experience in analysis and financial reporting
- Ideally experience estate agency industry
- Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner
- Good organisational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Be adaptable and a good team player
- High level of attention to detail
- Keen on growing with the company
