How we keep costs down for our Landlords

It’s a key factor in how we do business, supporting both landlords and tenants. We want to make sure everyone knows that when times get tough we rally around and support both our owners and residents.

The last 2 years for Landlords have been hard, the constant battle against COVID-19 and the various regulations implemented has led to it at times feeling like an uphill struggle. Landlords have had to face reduced rent or empty apartments due to tenants leaving London at the peak of the pandemic.

At Crown Home Letting the pandemic allowed us to rethink, as an agency we were able to adapt and adjust to the market, and as always we thought outside the box.

In 2019 the government introduced new legislation that stopped estate agents from charging tenants anything that wasn’t a “permitted fee” and it got us thinking. During this time of crisis, we also want to give our landlords a helping hand.

So, we dropped all unnecessary charges for our landlords. When you sign up to rent your property through Crown Home Letting, you won’t find any unexpected costs.

Unlike many other agents out there we don’t charge our landlords for the following:
1) Referencing
2) Tenancy agreement
3) Right to rent check
4) Tenancy deposit registration

All of this can save our landlords between £500-£600, meaning it provides some flexibility and keeps costs down.
